Wie lässt sich Wohnen erforschen? Die Wohnforschung ist bislang mit unterschiedlichsten Ausrichtungen und methodischen Zugängen unverbunden und über unzählige Disziplinen verstreut. In diesem Sammelband (peer-reviewed) wollen wir daher aktuelle methodische Zugänge qualitativer Wohnforschung und deren methodologische Implikationen für den Forschungsgegenstand «Wohnen» bündeln.

I started working at the Department of Sociology and Empirical Social Research on October 1st led by Prof. Dr. Susanne Vogl. There, my work focuses on Mixed Methods and Multimethod Research (MMMR).
Scientific collaboration with Dr. Julia von Mende on methods for researching spatial-material aspects in interaction with society
Since November 2020 I have been working with Dr. Julia von Mende on methods for researching spatial-material aspects in interaction with the social. In this context, we are planning to hold a scientific workshop in autumn 2021 that will address this question and bring together scientists from different disciplines
Scholarship "for completion of the dissertation" by the Bauhaus-University Weimar
My application for a scholarship from the Bauhaus-University Weimar was successful! This makes it possible to bring a second field phase to an end, which takes into account the housing companies in the metropolitan regions of Munich and Stuttgart and their actions in relation to the provision of affordable housing under the influence of the corona-pandemic.

I was introduced to the IBA International Summer School ‘New Social Housing’ by Prof. Dr. Simon Güntner, Prof. Dr. Christoph Reinprecht and Prof. Dr. Rudolf Scheuvens. There, I will participate with the lecture ‘The involvement of housing companies in the provision of affordable housing: An exemplary analysis of the metropolitan regions of Munich and Stuttgart’ in Vienna.

The conference "Land. Economy. Society. Resources for a Right to Housing" will take place on May 23 and 24, 2019. In forum 2 “Role(s) of the (housing-)economy Part 1: Social housing provision between privatization, financialization and cooperation” I will present first results of my research.

As part of the workshop series “The Nerver-Ending Story of Housing Question(s)” by the Junior Researcher Group “Social Housing Provision”, I am organizing and conducting an expert workshop “Housing Sector and Affordable Housing: Dynamics. Challenges. Potentials?” on February 22, 2019. The invited experts are: Prof. Dr. Stefanie Hiß; Dr. Bernd Hunger GdW and urban planner Heike Dederer. The workshop is funded by the Hans-Böckler Stiftung.

On June 9th, 2017, the expert workshop “Affordability of Housing” will take place within the framework of the Junior Research Group “Social Housing Provision in Growing Urban Regions: Urban Planning and Legal Perspectives” together with Inga Jensen, M.A. and Cilia Lichtenberg, M.Sc.
PhD Scholarship of the Hans-Böckler Foundation
From September 1, 2016 until 2019 I will receive a doctoral scholarship from the Hans-Böckler Foundation. With my research on housing companies and the provision of affordable housing, I also successfully applied for the interdisciplinary Junior Research Group “Social Housing in Growing Urban Regions: Urban Planning and Legal Perspectives” at the Bauhaus-University Weimar under the direction of Prof. Dr. Barbara Schönig.

In addition to successfully enrolling as a doctoral candidate at the Bauhaus-University Weimar, I am also a member of the Junior Research Group No. 11 “Social Housing Provision in Growing Urban Regions: Urban Planning and Legal Perspectives” under the direction of Prof. Dr. Barbara Schönig and Prof. Dr. Florian Rödl. The Junior Research Group is funded by the Hans-Böckler Foundation.
